How it reads
Armored Steel DE6279 is a medium grey-green from Dunn-Edwards' Perfect Palette, filed under its cool neutrals. Dunn-Edwards describes it as "a medium gray-green with industrial undertones" and gives an LRV of 17.
In the Alisha Taylor Interiors home office on this page, photographed by Joshua Caldwell, it covers the built-in cabinetry.
What Armored Steel is
Armored Steel DE6279 is a Dunn-Edwards Perfect Palette colour, hex #747769, LRV 17. Dunn-Edwards calls it "a medium gray-green with industrial undertones" that adds sturdy definition to a room.
Its base is olive-khaki with a cool, slightly metallic cast.
How it behaves in light
Composite Paint notes it borrows colour from nearby surfaces and can look flat under cool LED light, so test it against your trim, floor and main light source.
At an LRV of 17 it absorbs most light and reads as a deep, grounding neutral.
Where to use it
In the Alisha Taylor Interiors home office on this page, photographed by Joshua Caldwell, Armored Steel covers the built-in cabinetry. Alisha Taylor wrote that the built-ins give the room "not only ample storage but also an aesthetic continuity".
Dunn-Edwards also features it in a Desert Southwest exterior palette with adobe and sandstone.
What it sits next to
Dunn-Edwards pairs it with Frostbite DE6274 trim and Silhouette DE6276 accents, and lists Greenland, Moss Covered and Dried Chive as similar.
On this site, compare it with Sea Haze and Privilege Green.
