How it reads
Coastal Cottage 1164 is a light, warm neutral from the Benjamin Moore Classics collection. Benjamin Moore describes it as "the color of soft sand" with "a slight touch of pink", and gives an LRV of 65.65.
In the MONIOMI Design dining room on this page, photographed by Jeanne Canto, it covers the walls and banquette alcove of a sunny, beamed dining room and reading corner.
What Coastal Cottage is
Coastal Cottage 1164 is part of the Benjamin Moore Classics collection. Benjamin Moore describes it as "the color of soft sand" with "a slight touch of pink".
Its LRV is 65.65 and its hex #E7D1C2: a light neutral, warmer and pinker than a standard beige.
How it behaves in light
In the sunny rooms on this page it reads as a gentle, warm sand. Its pink cast shows most in bright daylight and against white trim.
We have not found designer commentary on how it behaves in north light. Warm, pinkish neutrals can turn slightly greyer there, so sample it first.
Where to use it
In the MONIOMI Design home on this page, photographed by Jeanne Canto, Coastal Cottage covers a beamed dining room with a blue banquette and woven chairs, and a reading corner by tall windows.
Its softness lets terracotta pottery, blue upholstery and natural wood stand out without the room feeling stark.
What it sits next to
Benjamin Moore's coordinating colours are Cloud White OC-130, Rock Gray 1615, Chantilly Lace OC-65 and Opal OC-73.
On this site, compare it with Pink Cloud and Rosy Tan. Matchmypaintcolor lists Farrow & Ball Pink Ground No. 202 as a near match.
