In real rooms

All things color, in your inbox.
Paint colors worth knowing, the rooms they live in, and where color is going — in design, fashion, and beyond. Free, and only when we have something to say.
How it reads
Deep Secret is a dark charcoal grey with a clear blue undertone — Benjamin Moore files it in the blue family and calls it 'your new favorite gray'. It comes from the Color Stories collection, whose full-spectrum formulas shift more with the light than standard paints.
It makes a handsome library or dining room and an excellent cabinet colour, where its blue keeps it from looking like plain black. Warm woods and aged brass are its best company; keep trim in the same colour or a warm off-white.
