How it reads
Monet is a dusty, mauve-leaning pink with a beige base — a rose that has softened into something closer to lilac. At LRV 40 it is a real mid-tone, dark enough to feel enveloping in a small room and light enough to keep a powder room from going gloomy.
Against a white plaster mirror and marble it is romantic and a little theatrical; against cool grey it turns purple, so keep the neighbours warm. It is particularly kind to skin in a mirror, which is why it belongs in a bathroom.
