Pleat

Pleat is a deep, grey-softened teal from Little Greene — blue-green with enough grey to feel tailored rather than tropical. It is the color of a copper roof that has weathered for a century, and it is one of the best colors there is for tongue-and-groove panelling.

In a cloakroom with patterned wallpaper above the panelling and brass fittings it is pure English country house. Cool light greens it; warm light pulls it toward a smoky blue. It pairs beautifully with ochre, cream and red-brown.
