In real rooms

All things color, in your inbox.
Paint colors worth knowing, the rooms they live in, and where color is going — in design, fashion, and beyond. Free, and only when we have something to say.
How it reads
Tender Pink is a mid-tone dusty rose with a clear thread of orange running through it, which keeps it earthy rather than sugary. At an LRV around 41 it is a real colour, not a blush — walls painted in it hold their own against pattern and dark furniture.
It is beautiful in rooms with strong architecture and collected furnishings, where it behaves like a warm neutral. Pair it with deep blues, chocolate browns or an off-white trim; avoid cool greys, which make it look sallow.
