How it reads

Faded Terracotta is exactly what the name promises: a clay orange that has been left in the light until the red drained out, leaving a soft, sandy peach. It comes from Farrow & Ball's California Collection, made with Kelly Wearstler, and it carries that West Coast ease — warm, dusty, never brash.

It is a color that changes with the hour. Morning light keeps it pale and sandy; late sun pulls the orange forward and the whole room glows. Pair it with rust, plum and raw wood and it feels layered; pair it with white and it feels like a summer house.
