Savage Ground is a warm, sandy beige from Farrow & Ball's archive — a yellow-leaning neutral that reads as sunlit rather than safe. It is the color of a stone floor in a Provençal kitchen, and it makes a room feel warmer without asking anyone to notice why.
It comes alive with green — a teal velvet sofa, a chartreuse cushion, leaded windows with a garden beyond. In cool light it stays a clean sand; in warm light the yellow rises and the whole room glows like late afternoon.
