The difference
Read from the numbersSicilian Lemon is the lighter of the two at LRV 83.37, 71.8 points above Aegean Olive at LRV 11.54. Both read warm. Aegean Olive is a green, Sicilian Lemon a yellow. For a whole room, Sicilian Lemon is the safer, more forgiving choice thanks to its higher LRV, while Aegean Olive is the bolder pick.
How they read
In their own wordsAegean Olive is a deep, grayed olive that sits closer to bronze and khaki than to anything leafy. With an LRV just under 12 it behaves like a dark neutral: it wraps a room, dissolves corners and makes cane, rattan and aged brass look expensive. It is the green you choose when you do not want the room to read as green.
Sicilian Lemon is Benjamin Moore 2020-60, the colour formerly sold as Moonlight. Benjamin Moore renamed it, so older chips and brochures may still say Moonlight, but the number is the same. It is a pale, clear butter yellow with an LRV of 83. It is light enough to behave like a tinted white in a bright room and cheerful enough to make a north-facing one feel as if the sun came out.
