Settled, side by side

Bride to Be is a whisper of pink folded into a warm off-white. At LRV 71 it is light enough to use as a whole-room neutral, and in most light it reads as a soft, flattering beige — the blush only shows when you put it next to a true white. It is the color of the inside of a shell.

Costes is a Portola Roman Clay — a hand-applied plaster finish rather than a paint — in a dusty rose-terracotta. Because Roman Clay is troweled on, the color is never flat: it moves between pale pink and deep clay across a single wall, and the surface has a soft, suede-like depth that photographs like stone.
