Settled, side by side

Jacket is a Portola Roman Clay in a deep charcoal-brown — a black with the hardness taken out. Because Roman Clay is troweled on, the surface is never uniform: it shifts between soot and warm ash across a wall, with a soft, suede-like depth that no flat paint can match.

Cedar Grove is a mid-light sage — green enough to be clearly a color from across the room, grey enough never to look minty. At LRV 46 it sits in the sweet spot for a full-room green: it holds its tone in daylight and softens rather than muddies as the light fades.
