The difference
Read from the numbersLamp Room Gray leans cool where Analytical Gray reads warm. Both belong to the gray family.
How they read
In their own wordsLamp Room Gray is what Farrow & Ball calls its 'most traditional blue grey' — a mid-light grey with a soft blue cast that feels older and more settled than a modern cool grey. It takes its name from the rooms where oil lamps were once trimmed and stored.
Analytical Gray is a Sherwin-Williams greige with a decidedly warm, beige lean — closer to a light taupe than to a grey. At LRV 47 it is a comfortable mid-light neutral that holds its colour in both bright and dim rooms.
