The difference
Read from the numbersSicilian Lemon is the lighter of the two at LRV 83.37, 36 points above Late Wheat at LRV 47.41. Both read warm. Both belong to the yellow family. For a whole room, Sicilian Lemon is the safer, more forgiving choice thanks to its higher LRV, while Late Wheat is the bolder pick.
How they read
In their own wordsLate Wheat is a muted golden yellow with enough tan and green in it to stay quiet — the color of a field in September rather than a lemon. At LRV 47 it sits mid-tone, so on cabinetry it reads as a real color without ever shouting, and it has none of the acidity that makes most yellows hard to live with.
Sicilian Lemon is Benjamin Moore 2020-60, the colour formerly sold as Moonlight. Benjamin Moore renamed it, so older chips and brochures may still say Moonlight, but the number is the same. It is a pale, clear butter yellow with an LRV of 83. It is light enough to behave like a tinted white in a bright room and cheerful enough to make a north-facing one feel as if the sun came out.
