How they read
In their own wordsLight Blue No. 22 is one of Farrow & Ball's oldest colours. The brand says this silvery blue got its name because it was the lightest blue in its first collection of colours, and that it becomes a little more silver in tone when used in shaded areas.
Tranquility is a pale grey from Benjamin Moore's Affinity collection with a soft green-blue whisper — the color of sea fog rather than a city sky. At LRV 53 it is a true light-mid tone, and it does exactly what its name suggests: it calms a room without making it cold.
