The difference
Read from the numbersSicilian Lemon is the lighter of the two at LRV 83.37, 20.1 points above Sea Salt at LRV 63.233. Sea Salt leans cool where Sicilian Lemon reads warm. Sea Salt is a green, Sicilian Lemon a yellow. For a whole room, Sicilian Lemon is the safer, more forgiving choice thanks to its higher LRV, while Sea Salt is the bolder pick.
How they read
In their own wordsSea Salt is a soft green-grey that changes its mind with the light: green in a sunny room, blue-grey in a shaded one. At LRV 63 it is light enough for a whole room and quiet enough to live with for years, which is why it has become a modern classic for bedrooms and bathrooms.
Sicilian Lemon is Benjamin Moore 2020-60, the colour formerly sold as Moonlight. Benjamin Moore renamed it, so older chips and brochures may still say Moonlight, but the number is the same. It is a pale, clear butter yellow with an LRV of 83. It is light enough to behave like a tinted white in a bright room and cheerful enough to make a north-facing one feel as if the sun came out.
