The difference

Read from the numbers

Chantilly Lace is the lighter of the two at LRV 90.04, 6.7 points above Sicilian Lemon at LRV 83.37. Sicilian Lemon leans warm where Chantilly Lace reads cool-neutral. Sicilian Lemon is a yellow, Chantilly Lace a white. For a whole room, Chantilly Lace is the safer, more forgiving choice thanks to its higher LRV, while Sicilian Lemon is the bolder pick.

How they read

In their own words

Sicilian Lemon is Benjamin Moore 2020-60, the colour formerly sold as Moonlight. Benjamin Moore renamed it, so older chips and brochures may still say Moonlight, but the number is the same. It is a pale, clear butter yellow with an LRV of 83. It is light enough to behave like a tinted white in a bright room and cheerful enough to make a north-facing one feel as if the sun came out.

Chantilly Lace (OC-65) is the brightest, crispest white in Benjamin Moore's lineup, with an LRV around 90 and an almost-neutral undertone that carries only the faintest cool edge. It reads as a clean, pure white in nearly any light.
