The difference

Read from the numbers

Stonington Gray is the lighter of the two at LRV 59.36, 1.7 points above Accessible Beige at LRV 57.67. Stonington Gray leans cool where Accessible Beige reads warm. Stonington Gray is a gray, Accessible Beige a beige. For a whole room, Stonington Gray is the safer, more forgiving choice thanks to its higher LRV, while Accessible Beige is the bolder pick.

How they read

In their own words

Stonington Gray is a light gray that Benjamin Moore describes as silvery, with relatively neutral undertones. On a wall it is cooler than that description suggests: a blue undertone shows in north-facing or cool light and relaxes in warm light. At LRV 59 it is light enough for a small room and gray enough to read as a color against white trim.

Accessible Beige (SW 7036) leans further into beige than most greiges, with a soft brown-gold base that reads warm and grounded. At an LRV near 58 it's a hair deeper than Agreeable Gray, giving rooms a cozier, more traditional feel.
