The difference

Read from the numbers

Swiss Coffee is the lighter of the two at LRV 81.91, 33.9 points above Catalina Blue at LRV 48. Swiss Coffee leans warm where Catalina Blue reads cool. Swiss Coffee is a white, Catalina Blue a blue. For a whole room, Swiss Coffee is the safer, more forgiving choice thanks to its higher LRV, while Catalina Blue is the bolder pick.

How they read

In their own words

Swiss Coffee is the warm white by which other warm whites are measured. With an LRV near 84 it stays bright and open, but a slight yellow-beige undertone keeps it creamy rather than clinical — the look of fresh cream rather than fresh snow.

Despite the name, Catalina Blue lives in the soft territory where blue meets green. It is a muted, sea-glass color — grey enough to stay calm, green enough to feel coastal — that shifts between blue and sage depending on the light it's given.
