In real rooms

All things color, in your inbox.
Paint colors worth knowing, the rooms they live in, and where color is going — in design, fashion, and beyond. Free, and only when we have something to say.
How it reads
Grays Harbor is a deep slate blue-grey from Sherwin-Williams, with green undertones that keep it from feeling icy. At LRV 12 it is dark enough to anchor a room and soft enough to live with every day.
It is a favourite for kitchen islands, panelled dens and front doors, where it pairs handsomely with brass, walnut and warm white. In low light it reads nearly navy; in daylight the grey comes forward.
