In real rooms

All things color, in your inbox.
Paint colors worth knowing, the rooms they live in, and where color is going — in design, fashion, and beyond. Free, and only when we have something to say.
How it reads
Sirene is a Portola Roman Clay in what the brand calls 'a calm marine blue'. Because Roman Clay is troweled on rather than brushed, the colour is never flat — it moves between pale sea-blue and deeper slate across a single wall.
It makes a powder room feel like a grotto, and it pairs beautifully with white stone, chrome and unlacquered brass. Portola publishes no digital colour values, so the swatch here is an approximation of the finish in daylight.
