How they read
In their own wordsAdventurer No. 7 is a deep plum from Little Greene, named the brand's Colour of the Year for 2026. A stockist describes it as "a majestic and calming aubergine", and the editorial coverage in Galerie, Livingetc, Domino and Ideal Home treats it as a moody, enveloping dark.
Preference Red No. 297 is a Baroque red that Farrow & Ball calls the deepest and richest of its reds. It is named after Preference Paints, the company's original trade name.
