The difference

Read from the numbers

Rosy Tan is the lighter of the two at LRV 38.68, 28.7 points above Cherry Cola at LRV 10. Both read warm. Cherry Cola is a red, Rosy Tan a pink. For a whole room, Rosy Tan is the safer, more forgiving choice thanks to its higher LRV, while Cherry Cola is the bolder pick.

How they read

In their own words

Cherry Cola is a deep reddish brown from Dunn-Edwards' Perfect Palette accents — the color of the drink held up to the light, with burnt sienna underneath. At LRV 10 it is dark, saturated and enormously flattering to books, brass and patterned fabric.

Rosy Tan is exactly what the name promises: a dusty pink built on a tan base, so it never reads sweet. Benjamin Moore describes it as 'a powdery blush', and on the wall it has the softness of old plaster.
