How they read
In their own wordsGray Owl OC-52 is Benjamin Moore's "use-anywhere light gray with a cool, crisp cast". It is in the Off-White Collection, and the same colour also appears in the brand's Color Preview range as 2137-60. Its LRV is 64.51.
Le Cygne — the swan — is a warm, matte ivory from the French house Ressource. It has the chalky, light-absorbing quality of old lime plaster, which is why it looks so at home on Haussmann paneling and ceiling roses: it softens the light rather than bouncing it around. Cream is present, yellow is not.
