How they read
In their own wordsMaritime White is a warm, creamy off-white with a green-grey base that stops it from tipping into yellow. At LRV 72 it is soft rather than bright — an ivory, not a white — and in a bedroom it makes everything feel calmer and slightly older, in the best way.
Le Cygne — the swan — is a warm, matte ivory from the French house Ressource. It has the chalky, light-absorbing quality of old lime plaster, which is why it looks so at home on Haussmann panelling and ceiling roses: it softens the light rather than bouncing it around. Cream is present, yellow is not.
