The difference

Read from the numbers

Pine Frost is the lighter of the two at LRV 65.148, 33.7 points above Creekside Green at LRV 31.43. Pine Frost leans cool where Creekside Green reads neutral. Both belong to the green family. For a whole room, Pine Frost is the safer, more forgiving choice thanks to its higher LRV, while Creekside Green is the bolder pick.

How they read

In their own words

Pine Frost is a pale, frosted green that reads almost as a tinted white in bright light and as a soft silvery sage in shade. At LRV 65 it is light enough for a whole bedroom yet has enough pigment to feel like a decision. There is no sweetness in it — the grey keeps it cool and quiet.

Creekside Green is a mid-dark grey with hazy green tones — Benjamin Moore's own description calls it 'moody' and 'enigmatic', and that is right. It is neither a clear green nor a flat grey but the colour of lichen on a shaded stone.
