How they read
In their own wordsPine Frost is a pale, frosted green that reads almost as a tinted white in bright light and as a soft silvery sage in shade. At LRV 65 it is light enough for a whole bedroom yet has enough pigment to feel like a decision. There is no sweetness in it — the grey keeps it cool and quiet.
Le Cygne — the swan — is a warm, matte ivory from the French house Ressource. It has the chalky, light-absorbing quality of old lime plaster, which is why it looks so at home on Haussmann panelling and ceiling roses: it softens the light rather than bouncing it around. Cream is present, yellow is not.
