How they read
In their own wordsRevere Pewter (HC-172) is Benjamin Moore's iconic greige — a warm gray-beige with a soft olive-green undertone. At LRV 55.5 it's slightly deeper than the popular Sherwin-Williams greiges, giving it more presence on a wall.
Le Cygne — the swan — is a warm, matte ivory from the French house Ressource. It has the chalky, light-absorbing quality of old lime plaster, which is why it looks so at home on Haussmann paneling and ceiling roses: it softens the light rather than bouncing it around. Cream is present, yellow is not.
