The difference

Read from the numbers

Honey Hut is the lighter of the two at LRV 61.51, 22.8 points above Rosy Tan at LRV 38.68. Both read warm. Both belong to the pink family. For a whole room, Honey Hut is the safer, more forgiving choice thanks to its higher LRV, while Rosy Tan is the bolder pick.

How they read

In their own words

Rosy Tan is exactly what the name promises: a dusty pink built on a tan base, so it never reads sweet. Benjamin Moore describes it as 'a powdery blush', and on the wall it has the softness of old plaster.

Honey Hut is a pale dusty pink with enough grey-beige in it to stay sophisticated. At LRV 62 it is light and airy, but it is unmistakably pink — more so than Bride to Be, less so than Pink Cloud. It has the softness of a powder puff and none of the sugar.
