The difference

Read from the numbers

Seabrook is the lighter of the two at LRV 68.46, 3.3 points above Pine Frost at LRV 65.148. Both read cool. Seabrook is a blue, Pine Frost a green. For a whole room, Seabrook is the safer, more forgiving choice thanks to its higher LRV, while Pine Frost is the bolder pick.

How they read

In their own words

Seabrook is a light, clear aqua-blue — Benjamin Moore says it 'immediately conjures the sea', and that is fair. There is enough green in it to keep it from turning baby-blue, and at an LRV near 68 it bounces plenty of light while still reading unmistakably as colour.

Pine Frost is a pale, frosted green that reads almost as a tinted white in bright light and as a soft silvery sage in shade. At LRV 65 it is light enough for a whole bedroom yet has enough pigment to feel like a decision. There is no sweetness in it — the grey keeps it cool and quiet.
