How they read
In their own wordsSicilian Lemon is Benjamin Moore 2020-60, the colour formerly sold as Moonlight. Benjamin Moore renamed it, so older chips and brochures may still say Moonlight, but the number is the same. It is a pale, clear butter yellow with an LRV of 83. It is light enough to behave like a tinted white in a bright room and cheerful enough to make a north-facing one feel as if the sun came out.
Savage Ground is a warm, sandy beige from Farrow & Ball's archive — a yellow-leaning neutral that reads as sunlit rather than safe. It is the color of a stone floor in a Provençal kitchen, and it makes a room feel warmer without asking anyone to notice why.
