The difference

Read from the numbers

Seabrook is the lighter of the two at LRV 68.46, 61.5 points above Viridian Odyssey at LRV 7. Both read cool. Both belong to the blue family. For a whole room, Seabrook is the safer, more forgiving choice thanks to its higher LRV, while Viridian Odyssey is the bolder pick.

How they read

In their own words

Viridian Odyssey is a deep teal that reads almost black until light touches it, and then it reveals an inky blue-green with real depth. At LRV 7 it is one of the darkest colors in the library — a genuine envelope color for panelling, cabinetry and rooms meant to feel like the inside of a jewel box.

Seabrook is a light, clear aqua-blue — Benjamin Moore says it 'immediately conjures the sea', and that is fair. There is enough green in it to keep it from turning baby-blue, and at an LRV near 68 it bounces plenty of light while still reading unmistakably as colour.
